Yesterday, I introduced my photography equipment. Exciting, but not THAT exciting! The real fun begins as I share my personal images. As of July 1, 2012, I have successfully shot a photo a day. For anyone who doesn’t know how many days that is, it’s 189 days as of today! Crazy, right? I’m pretty thrilled. So many amazing photographers and hobbyists start a 365 project and I never thought I’d be one to get at least halfway. Here are some of my favorite images!
July 9, 2012: This was taken with my underwater Olympus camera, actually. I would LOVE underwater housing for my Mark II, but I can’t justify it.
July 18, 2012: I stood on the balcony of our apartment until I got this shot. So worth it!
August 4, 2012: Weekend in Lake Geneva with a great engagement session with my sister and her fiance. Look how gorgeous all of the green field grasses are…and the couple too?!
August 9, 2012: We got some really good news today that reminded me of this picture…so, naturally, I took a picture of a picture. Good luck guessing what the news was from this picture…hehe!
August 26, 2012: Summer rains are my absolute favorite.
September 6, 2012: We decided to move out of our city apartment at the end of the month, so I wanted to capture as much of it as possible…and…DACHSHUND!
September 22, 2012: This little girl was so cute. She kept chasing me around with her Barbie camera!
October 5, 2012: Getting settled into our apartment by now (1 week after move). The best part of moving is clearing clutter…but also bringing out the favorite pieces too.
October 12, 2012: What says fall more than these colors? OMG – beautiful! Wish I’d had a photo session that day!
October 20, 2012: The #1 best part about living in the suburbs is how much Kate loves it. She’s grown stronger, happier, and is finally well potty trained!
October 30, 2012: Flowers from Husband…for no particular reason. Such a sweetheart!
November 12, 2012: The only chances we get to photograph Kate are when she’s bribed by a pending treat. Pretty standard for dogs…even more so for dachshunds.
November 17, 2012: I was so lucky to spend a weekend on the farm for a Girl Hearts Camera weekend with some amazing photographers! Jennifer Warthan lives on a miraculous cotton farm in Virginia. Wouldn’t you love this view out of your front yard?
November 20, 2012: Part two of Thanksgiving week was spending time with my grandparents in Williamsburg, VA. We were blessed with beautiful sunsets that week across the James River…among other things!
December 5, 2012: Sadly, we did not put up our tree this year due to space. Sergeant Nutcracker was a little upset with us, but he survived.
December 16, 2012: Weekend at the in-laws for Christmas. I love this picture because while I can’t hear what’s going on, I know exactly what sounds Husband is making to instigate Kate’s gruff response. I love it!
December 21, 2012: First day of holiday break. Kate knew what was up – and slept in to her heart’s content.
December 24, 2012: Christmas Eve with my family!
December 28, 2012: Game night with Husband, my sister, and her fiance. We played Red November, which was actually quite fun!
December 31, 2012: I made Kissie Cookies, which will appear on the blog tomorrow. I was getting ready all day for the launch of K&T!
Thanks for checking out my 1/2 year in review!
