Happy New Year!

2014 strikes at midnight tonight and I’m ecstatic! I’m not sure about you, but I’m ready to conclude the year and move on to a new, fresh, outlook.

20131231 NYE - K&T 001 Tonight, however, we’re blessed to be celebrating a wedding tonight in Michigan: my brother-in-law, Matt, and his fiance, Katie! Congratulations you two lovebirds.

To launch 2014 off right, I’m sharing 5 things to look forward to this year:

1. Moving > No matter what happens with hubby’s job, we’ll be moving somewhere this spring or summer.

2. The 2014 Directive > Tomorrow I’ll share my January Directive but I’m excited at finally having something to keep me accountable to the plethora of goals I have this year. Are you joining me?

3. Once Upon a Time Sampler > I didn’t discover 2013’s Woodland Sampler cross-stitch pattern until September, so I was playing catch-up for 4 months. This year, I get to stitch with all the rest of the community each month! I’m super excited about the glittery linen we’re stitching on too. Do you cross-stitch?

4. Slowing Down > In the past, I’ve been “so busy.” This year, my mantra is to slow down and simplify. That doesn’t mean I’ll stop filling my time with work and things I love, but I won’t be saying ‘yes’ to every opportunity that comes my way, or creating opportunities just for the heck of it. I need more time to myself and for my family. Glorifying “busy” is a very unfortunate way to live.

5. Being Happy > 2013 was not my year for being happy and I hope 2014 will bring a new and improved outlook. I’m mentally preparing for 2014 to be our “family foundation” year. We’ll save money, inventory our belongings and stop buying things we don’t need, we’ll plan for our future, and move to a new city, go on more dates, among other things. Unless there’s an “oops,” we won’t be having babies in 2014…but I’ll be damned if 2015 doesn’t contain a human baby brother or sister for Kate & Trudy (here’s your official FYI, Husband – lol)!

Today, celebrate your accomplishments of the year’s past and exciting opportunities and adventures coming up in your future.

CHEERS TO THE NEW YEAR!!

productivity for working moms

welcome!

I'm Jessica!

I used to glorify "busy." If I wasn't busy, I wasn't doing enough. But when I became a mama, my entire outlook shifted.

The only way out involved a complete overhaul of my time, money & communication systems.

Today, I'm doing LESS and achieving more.

It's a productivity dream!

I'm still learning (and always will be!), but my purpose here is to help YOU achieve this level of space in your life too.
