Can you tell I’m really, really, really excited for 2014 to be here?!
When one of my favorite bloggers, Jessica of Little Baby Garvin, posted about her involvement in the “Making 2014 Count” link-up with a bunch of other amazing women, I jumped at the chance to participate. I love this theme so without further adieu…
Many people chose a word to reflect on, live by or aspire to for the New Year. Let us know your word, how you decided upon it & how you plan to incorporate it into 2014.
This is easy: S.I.M.P.L.I.F.Y.
My world has become so cluttered over the years and as I try to sift through the “stuff,” (tangible, digital, or internal) it’s become unbearable. I think 2013 was a difficult year in part because I’m carrying way too much “stuff.”
I settled on the theme to simplify in 2014 over the last few months so this weight could be lifted. No matter the struggles we face in my Husband’s job situation or otherwise, it’ll be alright because my plate will be cleared. I’m not very spontaneous, but hope to be more once my life becomes a little bit simpler.
These words don’t mean much without a plan, so my plan is already in motion with The 2014 Directive. Basically it’s a way to set a smaller goal on a monthly basis. It’s also a monthly link-up as I wanted some fabulous friends to come join me so I don’t slack off! I’m starting January by simplifying our spending and working towards saving more money.
I will make 2014 count by…
Being happy for the benefit of myself and those around me by simplifying all areas of my life! I’ll also attempt not to sweat the small stuff – haha.
Happy New Year!
