I’m excited to be writing this post from Wisconsin where Husband and I are now temporarily residing in my parent’s lake house! Now that we’re in the last few months before so many changes take place with Hubby’s job, we decided to change the pace and pack only the necessities to come live up here for a little while. We packed a single car load full of our stuff and Kate wasn’t too happy she didn’t get her normal car setup where she enjoys relaxing in the confines of her cozy crate.
There’s a Starbucks down the street as well as a Target and even a brand new JoAnn Fabrics! The house is situated in town which is great for us as we’ll be within walking distance or short driving distance to everything we need. I’ve set up my own office space in one of the spare bedrooms and have everything I need to avoid missing a beat with my job! I’ve even discovered some hidden compartments throughout the house (it was built in the 1800s) that I’d never noticed before since we’ve only ever stayed a few days.
We’re living the “simple” life for sure right now!
Last Week’s Wishes
Finish A Clash of Kings.
I read a lot less on the plane to and from Seattle last week than I would have wanted. I spent a bit of the weekend continuing on but I was unable to finish before last night. I counted up that I have only 11 chapters left. I’m super excited to move on to the next book to get closer to catching up on where the HBO series is at the moment. Season 4 comes out so soon!!
Follow my March Directive goals while traveling.
Well…….maybe 50/50 on this one??
> 0/4 nights I got more than 8 hours of sleep
> 5/5 days I drank well over 60 oz. of water (thanks to my trusty new Camelbak Chute)
> 0/5 days I took a multi-vitamin (womp womp – would help if I’d buy the vitamin…which I had Hubby pick up this past weekend)
> 2/4 nights I had no alcohol
> 3/5 days I had only one sweet
> 4/5 days I dry brushed (I made this a daily thing…it’s just that fantastic)
> 5/5 days I applied body lotion and dried/styled my hair
> 3/5 days I applied makeup (didn’t want to travel with makeup on!)
This Week’s Wishes
Reach 7,500 steps on my Fitbit each day.
I’ve had the Fitbit Flex for a week now and have only reached my step goal once (yesterday). Now that I have a Starbucks within walking distance, I’m thinking a morning walk over there for my Grande Pike each day this week will help me stay focused and active.
Get at least 8 hours of sleep for real!
I really need to sleep at least 8 hours so I’m fully rested and focused. The Fitbit also tracks sleep and it’ll deduct times of restlessness from the overall sleep duration, so going to bed 8 hours before I have to wake up might actually be 7.5 hours in the end. I think to reach this goal I’ll try to shut down my computers by 7:30pm every night and be in bed by 9pm. I’d like to try to wake up at 6am.
What’s on your agenda this week?!
