Weekly Wishes {March 3, 2014}

This weekend was absolutely fantastic. I haven’t felt this great in quite awhile!

Friday started off with some excellent news (I’ll share soon – hint: it completes one of my pending 30 Before 30 goals!) and ended with 95% of my day’s to do list completed. It was a pretty full list. Hubby and I celebrated that evening with another impromptu date night out!

Saturday morning was awesome as well. I launched The Blog Planner in my Etsy shop (check it out and use the code KTBLOGPLAN14 for 15% off!) then ran a bunch of errands. My first stop was the outlet mall where I had to find a rolling laptop bag for traveling. My shoulder bag just doesn’t cut it anymore and I’ll be traveling this year a little more than last year. I did find a great travel bag at the Samsonite store, but when I saw the Kate Spade store, I went right in. Within 20 minutes I had myself a PERFECT everyday work bag and matching wallet for close to 50% off! It’s my official birthday present…I’m trading in the spa treatments I had planned for the bag/wallet. So worth it!

Hubby also made some more beer on Saturday so the house smelled divine! I’m an oddball in that I really do love the smell…

Sunday was Oscars night! We attended a charity event at the local dine-in movie theater with my parents and had a blast! Last weekend when we saw 12 Years a Slave, we just knew it would win Best Picture. So well deserved! My favorite moment of the night, however…

Last Week’s Wishes

Launch my new Etsy item!

I’m so excited to say this is complete. As already mentioned, you can find the available items in my Etsy shop in the Blog Planner section. Don’t forget to use the 15% coupon code, KTBLOGPLAN14 (order must be $15 or more).

Beyond launching this item, creating it really has made me more organized and excited to work on blog stuff, like my Weekly Wishes! I have some things to dive deeper in this week such as my sponsor shout outs that I’m always forgetting to do! EEK.

Prepare my March Directive.

Done! The March Directive went live on Wednesday and over the weekend I had my first full DIY spa day. I purchased a few items to support this month’s Directive such as the Clarisonic Aria, Fitbit Flex, and some new styling brushes. The Fitbit is awesome for tracking sleep! I’m really excited about this month and already feel great.

I also created a fun new Google+ Community for participants and am also now accepting co-hosts for each month, so I’m really excited where this is going! If you’re interested in participating, check out the info page.

This Week’s Wishes

Finish A Clash of Kings.

I’ve skipped a lot of reading lately and I totally need to finish this book. It’s almost done so I think if I focus on it this week I’ll be able to finish! Thanks to my friend Elizabeth who made “reading more books” her March Directive, I was reminded how much I miss it.

Follow my March Directive goals while traveling.

I’m headed to Seattle again! In fact, when this post goes live, I’ll be at the airport waiting for my 8:50am CST flight. I’m there all week flying back on Friday morning for a set of program kick-off meetings. When I was there a few weeks ago, we were pitching our services. Now, we’re diving right in to get started! I’m super excited about this program and client. It’s the icing on the cake of how this year is going so far!

So, I need to make sure to keep my daily/weekly goals in line while traveling M-F this week. I think I can do it since I plan to check my bag. I can’t fit everything into my carry-on! The benefit of flying from Central time to Pacific time as well is that I’ll be up SUPER early so I’ll have plenty of time to get ready in the morning.

I hope you have a fabulous week!

productivity for working moms

welcome!

I'm Jessica!

I used to glorify "busy." If I wasn't busy, I wasn't doing enough. But when I became a mama, my entire outlook shifted.

The only way out involved a complete overhaul of my time, money & communication systems.

Today, I'm doing LESS and achieving more.

It's a productivity dream!

I'm still learning (and always will be!), but my purpose here is to help YOU achieve this level of space in your life too.
