13 Weeks // Baby E

When I realized my 8 week “bump” was just a lovely little mound of bloat, I vowed to wait until at least 12 weeks to start capturing and documenting weekly updates. I still didn’t have anything going on at 12 weeks, but I’m thinking we’re finally starting to see the bump peeking it’s way forward.

I had a very easy 1st trimester with no morning sickness – just exhaustion and a brutally stuffy nose! My work-from-home arrangement never felt so good when I could snuggle with my puppies in the next room for a quick afternoon nap before heading “back into the office.” I count my blessings every single day that I work from home! Though when the baby comes, totally different story for another day.

In any case, I’m so excited to track weekly progress and answer some random pregnancy questions below. It’ll be fun to see how big this bump get over the next 27 or so weeks!

How far along? 13 weeks

Total weight gain: 2 lbs (give or take)

Maternity clothes? Still in my skinny jeans. I suppose the good news is I used to be 15 lbs heavier and may be able to avoid true maternity clothes (pants, at least) until the fall. We’ll see!

Stretch marks? Not yet – hoping the cocoa butter my sweet sister gave me will help!

Sleep: Oh my gosh…easy. One thing I was NOT expecting was to be able to sleep so soundly. Knock on wood…

Best moment this week: Having our NT scan and not seeing anything glaring other than our sweet little baby on the screen. He/she was wiggling all around and I think I may have guessed the sex…we’ll see!

Miss Anything? A cold glass of white wine. It’s summer, of course, and we just finished our backyard reno. A glass of milk just doesn’t quite cut it on that comfy new couch. I did find some Welch’s mocktails at Walgreen’s a few days ago so I’m sure I’ll survive!

Movement: Haven’t felt it yet, but Baby E’s movin’ & shakin’ in there as we saw on the ultrasound.

Food cravings: The only food I’d call a craving (because I didn’t have regular place for it in my life before getting pregnant) is cookie dough ice cream and TONS of hot caramel on top.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Salt & vinegar chips. I don’t think I’ve seen Husband laugh that hard at me in my entire life…

Gender: I’m convinced it’s a girl, Husband would love a boy. We’re happy either way!

Labor Signs: No.

Symptoms: Just a few days ago the worst headaches started out of nowhere! Previously mentioned trip to Walgreen’s was for Tylenol, STAT.

Belly Button in or out? In…my poor belly button ring from Disney Cruise 2001 is holding out as long as possible before being evicted.

Wedding rings on or off? On.

Happy or Moody most of the time: Moody – lol. That’s not really much different than before and definitely related to tiredness. Here’s hoping I get some much needed energy back soon!

Looking forward to: Visiting my 6 week old nephew on Thursday in Denver, CO. All the babies!

productivity for working moms

welcome!

I'm Jessica!

I used to glorify "busy." If I wasn't busy, I wasn't doing enough. But when I became a mama, my entire outlook shifted.

The only way out involved a complete overhaul of my time, money & communication systems.

Today, I'm doing LESS and achieving more.

It's a productivity dream!

I'm still learning (and always will be!), but my purpose here is to help YOU achieve this level of space in your life too.
