The 4th of July celebration in our cul-de-sac was so much fun last night! The neighbors picked up a ton of great fireworks and the kids had a blast. I managed to bake some sweets and this weekend was very productive too! Three cheers for 2nd trimester energy return!!
How far along? 15 weeks
Total weight gain: 6 lbs
Maternity clothes? Loving my new maternity shorts and jeans. So, so, so comfortable!
Stretch marks? Doing everything I can to avoid.
Sleep: Starting to wake up earlier due to tiny bladder – ha!
Best moment this week: Fireworks, of course. Though, our poor scared puppies would not agree.
Miss Anything? The feeling of not wanting to find out the baby’s sex. HA. I was very committed to waiting until birth for about 30 seconds after finding out I was pregnant. Not long now!
Movement: Not yet, but I’m hoping soon!
Food cravings: Just sweets. Trying to tone it down on those, however. Baby does not need all the sugars and mama needs not be obese at delivery!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Not eating regularly. As long as I keep to a regular schedule of eating, I’m good to go.
Gender: Still leaning girl, but trying to prep myself for baby to be a boy. We have awesome names picked out for both genders, the nursery room paint is already purchased (and I’m hoping to get it on the wall soon!), and I prefer gender neutral newborn clothing anyway. I know we’ll be happy either way!
Labor Signs: No.
Symptoms: Tiredness seems to be going away. I definitely feel more energetic and more motivated / focused with work. All good symptoms that I’m taking full advantage of when they’re around!
Belly Button in or out? In, but womp womp, ring out. Oddly enough, it’s kind of nice to have it out. I’ve had a ring for nearly half my life…wow!
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Starting to feel more level-headed with gaining more energy. Yay!
Looking forward to: A jam-packed Saturday next weekend with lots of fun activities and a probable sleepover for the dogs at their favorite doggie day camp, aka “school.”
