20 freaking weeks are done. We’re halfway to meeting our baby girl and it gets more and more exciting every day. Every time I see twinkle lights or Christmas stuff I think of how amazing it’s going to be when Thanksgiving rolls around and we finally get to deck the halls, which means baby girl comes within a couple weeks. We can’t wait to meet her (this includes Kate & Trudy)!!
How far along? 20 weeks
Total weight gain: 10-12 lbs
Maternity clothes? A healthy rotation through my trusty Old Navy tank tops and thanking my lucky stars every day that I work from home.
Stretch marks? No
Sleep: Still pretty good! I was warned about the midnight potty runs and re-hydration needs but I’ve been lucky…maybe once a week I have to get up in the middle of the night.
Best moment this week: Traveling to Portland for our 5th anniversary trip. We hit so many fun stops – and I definitely gained weight while there thanks to the Salt & Straw and Voodoo Doughnut deliciousness. It’s a pregnant lady’s dream town!
Miss Anything? Nope!
Movement: So much movement! I can’t stand how awesome it is…I fight every urge every day not to stop what I’m doing every time I feel a kick to see if I can get her to kick more or stronger. My favorite part is when she slides all around – it’s like a giant caterpillar moving in my stomach. LOL!
Food cravings: OK, let’s be serious. I have had no cravings. I just really, really, really love sweets. Always have. I am still hooked on caramel sundaes and dreamcicle anything. After Salt & Straw, hubby’s been craving waffle cones (who’s pregnant again?) so we have dreamcicle ice cream cones on the regular. YUM.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Now it’s eating too much food. Stuffing my face always equals nausea. So, I better not stuff my face.
Gender: Still a girl – thank goodness!
Labor Signs: Nope.
Symptoms: An overwhelming urge to simplify our home once and for all (i.e. finish all of the work I set out to complete in 2014 with my word of the year = “simplify”) and finish this insanely demanding work project once and for all. I need a total brain reset after all this!
Belly Button in or out? Still in…hoping for a few more weeks.
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy!
Looking forward to: Husband’s brother and his wife to visit for a week. We’re doing a whole bunch of outdoorsy stuff and all new to us! Rainier, Olympic, etc. Can’t wait!
