... ... ... ... ...
Tornado Debris It’s all there … somewhere … and very much aligned to the state of my internal monologue.
Organized Chaos It’s there when I need it, but the extra effort it takes to cobble together often prevents me from taking any action at all.
Repetitive I can’t decide which system to use, so I use 10! I just super love organizing and can’t decide what I love the MOST.
Divided Within my career, tasks don't last long! I’ve got a system and stick to it. Buuut at home, it’s basically non-existent. Can I just hire someone else to do it all?!
Self-care? What self-care?
What’s your go-to way to recharge?
Coffee That’s about it. There’s too much to do to slow down and yes, thinking about how little I’m doing for myself stresses me out too.
Sleep I aim to get as much as I can since it’s the only thing that quiets my busy brain. I know sleep is important, but I wish I could accomplish more.
Decluttering All day, everyday. I love a good decluttering project! There’s no better self care in my book, but I’m always up for some pampering too if I can carve out the time (rare).
Reading Specifically, for personal development! I'm all about self-improvement and wouldn’t want to waste a minute. I try to read one chapter a day to raise the bar.
Let’s touch on your future here quick.
What’s your rhythm for setting *personal* goals?
Requiring Improvement Hello, over commitment! Come February, I’m burnt out & already giving up. Maybe I like the process of goal setting better than the actual DOING?!
Nonexistent I have small goals, such as reading a few good books and being more intentional with my family, but there’s no formal “process” in place to keep me accountable and track success.
Questionable I’ve got a goal setting rhythm but it might not be totally working for me. I can handle quick wins and small projects, but it’s the BIG stuff that gets quickly overwhelming.
A Mixed Bag I’ve got it down when it comes to my career. Not so much in my personal life. I’m not sure why goals are so easy to navigate at work but not at home?!
There are tons of tools out there to manage time well.
What’s your preference?
Enter any additional information about the quiz.
Print Strictly printed planners, workbooks and binders. Technology = distraction and I prefer to handwrite what’s most important to me so I can stay on track.
Digital Strictly digital calendars, editable PDFs, and digital notebooks. I’m comfortable with technology and can manage my life within it without distraction.
Print & Digital I prefer a combination of both! Print is great for when I want to step away from the screen, but digital is great for staying flexible and connected.
Not Sure I genuinely don’t mind what I use as long as it WORKS for me. I haven’t quite nailed down a system that actually feels like a good fit. Totally open to ideas!
How are you really feeling, mama?
Exhausted All I want is more sleep, but there’s no time for that. How am I supposed to slow down without dropping all the balls?!
Melancholic I’m constantly reminded of the things that need to get done and I just don’t know what to do to reduce the burden. How am I supposed to manage all this mental clutter?!
Capable I know the ticket to higher energy is to just get my space cleared with a solid decluttering sesh and then tackle more, so I’m in a good place with my energy levels as long as that happens!
Abundant I’m in a really good place with my energy. Only complaint is that I wish things at home and in my personal life were better aligned.
When it comes to the 1,000 different decisions you’re making every single day (including this quiz-ha!), what’s your tendency?
Respond Too Quickly Often with a “yes” that commits me before my brain even knows what happened.
Overthink & Become Paralyzed How can I make decisions on what to do next if I don’t even know what to do next? What if I go down the wrong path?!
Weigh ALL My Options I spend plenty of time overthinking, but I’m very capable of making a decision. I often keep my options open, though - just in case there’s a better way.
Consider the Risk/Reward & Lock it Down I’m really good at making decisions FAST, especially in my career. I try to do the same at home, too … but it’s harder when things aren’t quite as “put together” at home.
Why do you crave more efficiency & organization in your life?
Be More Spontaneous & Fun It’s been too long since I lived for the moment and ran around for the sheer purpose of having FUN.
Pursue a BIG Life-Altering Goal I can’t shake the feeling that I was made for something beyond where I’m at today, and that lack of time is preventing me from pursuing it.
Enjoy Small Moments & Be More Present I really just want to be a better steward of my time and not miss out on moments that really matter.
Feel More In Control of My Life I just want to grasp onto what little I can control right now (my use of time) and maybe, just maybe, that’s the life vest I need to truly dig out of this dumpster fire.
What’s your single greatest challenge when it comes to balancing all the balls between work and life?
Undefined or Unenforced Boundaries I don’t have enough margin in my life and, therefore, my personal life and work (full-time motherhood included) seem to have melted together.
Constant Distraction I have so many thoughts flying around in my head and I’m drowning in a sea of distractions. I can’t focus on any tasks because I just don’t know how or what to prioritize.
Lack of Consistency I’m easily swayed by shiny objects and new, fun ways of organizing and being more productive. Because of that, I have no consistency and my systems are all over the place.
Ignoring Mundane (but Necessary) Work I just want to focus on my career goals, be present with my family, and have someone else do all the things I’m just NOT passionate about.
